Job Purpose: 
A Senior Accountant, will be responsible for maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures specific to the seafood production and distribution industry. Plus enhancing our financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights that will help drive the company's success.

Key Accountabilities (KPI):
1.    Accurately process supplier payments and customer invoices, ensuring adherence to established procedures and timelines.
2.    Review contractual agreements and payment terms to facilitate timely disbursements and collections.
3.    Meticulously verify calculations, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and data entry.
4.    Input relevant computer codes for various financial documents into our accounting software, maintaining a meticulous record of transactions.
5.    Regularly check ledgers, statements, and accounts for accuracy, identifying discrepancies and potential errors.
6.    Undertake corrective actions for simpler issues, while escalading complex items to the Finance Supervisor for further investigation.
7.    Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with internal controls and auditing requirements.
8.    Ensure documents are available and properly filed for ease of reference during audits.
9.    Conduct routine statistical analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and financial performance metrics.
10.    Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly overviews that support strategic decision-making.
11.    Compile and prepare monthly tax reports, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
12.    Upload tax documents into the tax system in accordance with local laws and practices.
13.    Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring alignment with supplier and customer records.
14.    Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and other financial systems to uphold data accuracy.
15.    Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints received via telephone or email, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
16.    Cross-reference existing records to provide accurate and timely information to clients.
17.    Collaborate with the logistics department to track payment schedules and ensure timely payments to avoid port demurrages, thus enhancing operational efficiency.
18.    Lead and manage the month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately reported.
19.    Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary details for financial statements to facilitate the consolidation process.
20.    Draft routine correspondence related to finance, transactions, and customer relations as needed.
21.    Assist with general administrative support tasks, such as opening and sorting mail and filing documents to maintain a well-organized office environment.

Qualification & Experience Prerequisites:
Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant major.
Professional Certifications Required: SOCPA, CPA
Experience - Hiring Prerequisites: 
•    Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing or seafood industry. Familiarity with industry-specific financial regulations is advantageous.
•    Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial practices.
•    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems) as well as MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
•    Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, able to manage time well and prioritize tasks effectively.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with colleagues and clients.
